Javascript Menu by Deluxe-Menu.com Papua New Guinea Customs Service Welcome to the Papua New Guinea Customs Service web site Papua New Guinea (PNG) welcomes travellers and trade. Customs is the first point of contact with Papua New Guineans for persons and goods entering the country and our aim is to make this contact as friendly and helpful as possible. Our core business combines revenue collection and border security and our role therefore is to collect duties and taxes efficiently and to maintain border security by ensuring compliance with Customs and border related legislation. Protecting the community through the interception of illegal drugs and firearms is a high priority. Sophisticated techniques and manpower are used to target high-risk aircraft, vessels, vehicles, cargo, postal items and travellers. In managing the security and integrity of our borders we work closely with other government agencies, in particular the Immigration and Citizenship Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs and the National Agriculture Quarantine and Inspection Authority (NAQIA) to detect and deter unlawful movement of goods and people across our borders.
