MINING
AND PROSPECTING INFORMATION SHARING WORKSHOP
The
Directorate of Mines will be hosted a follow up mining
and prospecting information sharing workshop on the
14th March 2011 at Safari Hotel and Conference Centre
to discuss issues pertaining to the mining industry
and to share information.
This workshop offers a platform for the Ministry and
the mining industry to discuss and find solutions to
issues relating to statutory obligations and requirements
in terms of Minerals (Mining and Prospecting) Act of
1992 and report back on matters raised during the previous
workshop held in February 2009.

the first workshop that was held on the 29th November
2010 to solicit comments, input and recommendations from
stakeholders as part of the process to develop the Nuclear
Fuel Cycle Policy, Regulation and Legislation, the Ministry
of Mines and Energy hereby invites stakeholders and interested
parties to submit their comments and recommendation on
